If you're thinking of proposing in Barcelona, you might be asking yourself "where to propose?".
Barcelona is a beautiful place to propose with tens of locations perfect for making your Big Day special. Its Mediterranean climate makes it a great travel destination all year round, with a peak tourist season between June and September. If you prefer a quieter time, it's recommended to come between February and May, when the weather is already warm, but the city is not too crowded.

I have photographed more than 350 marriage proposals in this Mediterranean jewel and I'm excited to share with you my list of Top 5 Spots to propose in Barcelona in 2023. Let's have a look!
This is the greenest oasis in the center of Barcelona, it's full of palm trees and is home to a spectacular fountain Cascada Monumental. It was built in the 19th century and is now the beloved park of Barcelona's inhabitants. It invites you to relax, go for a walk, or just enjoy the beautiful architecture of the fountain. It's a perfect place to propose, especially if you do it in the morning before the tourists roll in!
A prominent hill overlooking the Barcelona harbor. It offers enough attractions to fill your entire day, so it might be a good idea to propose there in the morning and do some fun activities afterward. You can visit the Olympic stadium, go to the Joan Miro museum, or visit the Montjuic Castle. The location is stunning for a sunrise proposal. There are many spots that are picture-worthy, but my favorite one is the view from the Museu Nacional D'Art De Catalunya. The views are breathtaking!
Tibidabo is the tallest hill in Barcelona that offers spectacular views over the entire city. It also has an amusement park, if you're into feeling like a kid again! If you like the idea of proposing here, consider going up the stairs to the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, or proposing in a way that the temple is behind you. That way you'll make your Big Day truly unforgettable!
You can't visit Barcelona without going to the beach. You can enjoy it all year round! In the warmer months, you can swim in the sea and sunbathe, and in other months you can walk around, have a delicious paella in one of the beach bars, or simply enjoy the views. There are a few spots that are great for proposing at the beach, and the one overlooking the famous W Hotel is one of my favorite ones.
It goes without saying that you should visit Sagrada Familia when you're in Barcelona! Antoni Gaudi's masterpiece is one of a kind. I remember the first time I went inside and was immersed in colorful light coming through the stained glass. Proposing in front of Sagrada Familia is very romantic, and after your Big Moment, you can do some sightseeing as an engaged couple!
